Nails & Etsy

I've wanted to do a post on my nails for a long time, but never got around to it. Here is my attempt at ombre nails!

I thought that pink is a nice summer-y color (and is the only color I have 5 shades of!).
Here's what I used:
*Thumb: Justice's Hot Pink nail pen
                 (left to right)
*Migi's Pink nail pen
*Petites Cherry Slush (my fave nail polish ever!)
*Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Pretty Petunia
*Cricket's Light Pink  This one is super old but still works beautifully! The bottle even looks vintage-y!
Sorry! Bad pic!

I finished it all off with a topcoat of Revlon Liquid Quick Dry!
Have fun trying your own ombre!

The other thing I wanted to mention is, drumroll please, I opened an Etsy shop!!!!! I'm so excited! My shop name is Freshhaze. I don't have much up right now, but I am working on more items! I am trying to save up to take pointe in the fall, and hopefully this will help. Please check it out!

Beauty Tips

I'm back! I am sure you were all very worried about me. Anyway, I'm done with school, so I have more time to blog and be crafty. Yays! I found a bunch of beauty secrets that look superfun, so I thought I'd share them with you. The ones marked with a √ are the ones I've tried. Have fun!

                                                                          Skin
 •Banana & Honey Mask
Smash up a banana and add honey.  Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash off.

åOrange Blast
Grate up the peel of one orange and mix it with milk to make a paste. Rub on face in circular motions.
Wash off.

 •Oily Oil
Apply olive oil to face. Leave on for 10 minutes.

 •Oatmeal Mush  Stuff
Blend cooked oatmeal and honey together. Apply to face and wash off after 15 minutes.

åSteam Treatment
Boil water, lemon juice, & rosemary in a pot. Lean face over NOT IN the pot and cover head with towel. Breathe deeply.

åCuke Out
Mix cucumber juice and milk. Rub on face with cotton ball.

åPimple Blaster
Make a paste out of baking soda and water and apply to pimples. Leave on for 5 minutes and be sure not to leave on for more than 10.

åPore Strip
Microwave a spoonful each of milk and gelatin (flavored or not) for 15 seconds. Apply to nose and let dry for 15 minutes. Peel off.  ~All credit for this one goes to the lovely blog The First Lime~

åCrystal Clear
Mix olive oil and salt to make a paste and rub on skin. Leave on for 1 minute. Repeat every day for a week and you will begin to see clearer skin.

                                                  Lips

 √•Choco Lip Rub
     1/2 tsp cocoa powder
2 1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 vanilla extract
3/4 tsp honey
Mix this together and scrub on lips for 10 seconds. Lick off!

åSweetie Pie Lip Scrub
Mix sugar, honey, and Vaseline tog. to make a scrub-like consistency. Follow application instructions of Choco Lip Rub.

åLip Gloss
Take a dollop of Vaseline, microwave for 15 seconds, and add whatever you want to make it your very own lip gloss. Glitter, hot chocolate mix, kool-aid, the possibilities are endless.

                                                                      Teeth
å Strawberry Whiteness
Crush up one strawberry and mix baking soda in to make a paste. Apply to teeth and leave on for 5 minutes. Wash out mouth with water. Do not do this more than once a month as the baking soda could begin to break down your teeth.

                                                                        Hair
•Hula Honey
Mix 1 tablespoon of honey and a cup of milk and apply to hair. Leave on for 15 minutes. Wash hair.

•Oily Oil 2
Apply ether coconut or olive oil to hair. Leave for 20 minutes. Wash out.

•Chilly Chilly Cool Cool
Finish your shower by rinsing your hair with cool water for extra shine.

Hope you guys like these and find them helpful!
To the BFF who has been bugging me to post: HAPPY NOW? :P

SQUEEEEE!!!!

SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!  OMGOMGOMGOMG  Guess what!! Today at ballet we got report cards! Guess what else!!!! I got in to ballet 3!!!!!! (4 is the last level) Me and my friend both really wanted to get in, so it would be just as bad as not getting in if you made it and the other didn't. Here's how it went down:
* Teacher hands us our report cards*
We look at each other. We look down. We read. I finish first. I read over her shoulder. I whisper, "We both got in." She doesn't say anything. She looks at me. She reads mine and re-reads her own. We look at each other. Then we scream and hug and jump in a circle and try and say stuff like "I'm so glad we both made it" and "We did it", only it just sounded like we were trying to pick up a cow or something, because we were screaming at the same time. I am soooooooo HAPPY!!!!!!! Now I can take pointe!!!! I just have to earn enough money to do that…    SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
